The Connecticut Women's Basketball Hall of Fame seeks to honor those who, in a superlative fashion, have contributed to the enhancement of women's basketball in Connecticut - either through participation, service, support, or achievement.
Excellence speaks with a voice of its own. On this web site we are privileged to share in that voice. The Connecticut Women's Basketball Hall of Fame honorees exemplify the finest achievements in the world of sport.
New in 2022!
Team Recognition Award
Starting with the April 2022 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, the Connecticut Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame will institute a Team Recognition Award. High school, college, industrial, barnstorming, and senior teams will be eligible for recognition.
Criteria for recognition are:
High school team – State championship with special consideration for undefeated teams, the first state championship from a school with multiple state championships and teams from the early days of the tournament starting in 1974.
College – National championship or significant success at the national level especially in the early days of the national tournaments.
Industrial, barnstorming and senior teams – Significant success at the national level or pioneering success in the early days of women’s basketball in Connecticut.
No more than one team from a high school, college, or coached by the same person, will be recognized.
